1. Free 30-minute call

Tell me about your store and goals, and we’ll pick the right package.

2. Send your content

I send you a checklist for your logo, images, products, copy and domain details.

3. Launch and handover

I build your store, you review it, and you get a handover so you can run it.

Frequently Asked Questions

We go over your goals, what you already have, and which package fits. There’s no obligation, and you’ll leave knowing the next step.

Your logo, brand colours, images, product details, and domain and supplier information. I send you a checklist after the call. Please compress your images with a free tool like Squoosh (squoosh.app) first, ideally well under 1MB each.

No. I never need your password. I work through Shopify’s collaborator access, which lets me into your store from my own Shopify Partner account. You choose which parts of the store I can see, and you can remove my access at any time.

How it works

  1. After our call, I send you a request through Shopify.
  2. You get an email and a notification in your Shopify admin.
  3. In your admin, go to Settings, then Users and permissions, and look under Collaborators. Review the request, choose what I can access, and approve it.
  4. When the project and support period end, you can remove my access in the same place.

If your store asks for a request code, you’ll find it in the same Collaborators section. Send it to me and I’ll add it to my request. If you’d rather, you can invite me as a staff member instead. Either way, never send anyone your password.

The packages cover the setup work listed in the table above. Anything beyond that is outside the package, but I’m happy to do it. Just ask, and I’ll send you a written quote before I start, so you know the price and what’s included.

Common extras I can quote for:

  • Custom code: custom Liquid sections, theme changes beyond colours and fonts, and bigger features
  • Redesigns and changes to the layout beyond the standard setup
  • Moving a store from another platform
  • Extra products beyond your package limit, or products with lots of variants
  • Custom or paid fonts, where a web licence is needed
  • Extra revision rounds or additional meetings
  • Extra tuition sessions
  • Writing, photography or logo design: I don’t do these, but I can point you towards people who do

Some things are bought by you directly, not through me: paid themes and apps, your domain and email accounts, and supplier fees. For a paid theme such as Borders, the licence is a separate one-off cost paid to the theme developer, and Shopify’s free themes are always an option. I’ll tell you before I start if your chosen theme or app has a cost.

I don’t offer marketing, advertising or guaranteed sales or search rankings.

Package 1 includes one round of revisions. Packages 2 and 3 include two. A round means one combined list of changes. Extra changes are quoted separately before I start.

Packages are fixed-price, so you know the full cost before you pay. You never pay anything before we’ve spoken.

1. Free call first. We talk through your store on a free 30-minute call and agree which package fits. There’s no payment and no obligation at this stage.

2. Deposit to book your slot. Once we’ve agreed your package, I send you an invoice for a 50% deposit, along with the agreement. For example, for a £325 package the deposit is £162.50. You pay it online through a secure link in the invoice email. I start work once I’ve received your deposit, your checklist items and access to your store.

3. Balance before handover. When your store is ready for review, I send you an invoice for the remaining 50%. You pay it online through a secure link in the invoice email. Once it’s paid, I hand your store over.

Payment methods. You can pay by card and PayPal. You’ll get a receipt for each payment.

No surprises. Anything outside your package, such as extra products or custom work, is quoted in writing first, and I only start once you’ve agreed. Paid themes and apps, your domain, email accounts and supplier fees are bought by you directly and are not part of my fee.

If plans change. The agreement I send with your deposit invoice covers what happens if you cancel or I can’t complete the work, so you’ll see it before you pay anything.

Fixes for issues with my own work: 7 days for Package 1, 14 days for Package 2 and 30 days for Package 3. It doesn’t cover new features, third-party app problems or ongoing content updates, which I can quote separately.

It depends on your package and on how quickly we both move. These are typical timings, counted in working days from when I have your deposit, your checklist items and access to your store:

  • Package 1: [5 to 7] working days
  • Package 2: [10 to 14] working days
  • Package 3: [15 to 20] working days

How the time breaks down. I build your store first, then send it to you to review. Your review time and any revision rounds are on top of the build time, so allow a few extra days for those.

What speeds it up. Sending everything on the checklist at the start (logo, compressed images, product details, domain and supplier information) and replying to review requests within [3] working days.

What slows it down. Missing content, late feedback, domain or supplier delays outside my control (for example, DNS changes can take up to a day or so to spread), and extra work added partway through. If something delays the project, I’ll tell you and agree a new date.

Need it by a certain date? Tell me on the free call and I’ll say whether it’s realistic.

These timeframes are estimates, not guarantees.

If you cancel before work starts, I’ll refund your deposit less any costs already incurred. After work has started, you pay for the work done so far. The full terms are in the agreement you’ll sign.

Yes, with any supplier, or without one if you hold your own stock.
